House Pride

Wizard students at UUWA are sorted into one of four multi-age houses in which they will spend the first part of each camp day. These spaces, which allow for mentoring relationships to grow between older and younger students, offer a sense of identity and comradery. We call this spirit of community building "House pride" - and you shouldn't be surprised if your wizard asks to wear their house colors all week!

Making magic with meaning

UUWA is centered on Unitarian Universalist values and teachings. This year, we'll be using The Five Smooth Stones of Liberal Religion to guide our programming. During classes each day through the week, we will explore the meaning of a different stone:
  • Monday - Agency
  • Tuesday - Respect
  • Wednesday - Justice
  • Thursday - Possibility
  • Friday - Hope
Learn more about the stones here!
UUWA aims to take the best inspiration from the world of Harry Potter and transform it into something more loving, inclusive, and in line with our Unitarian Universalist values. We firmly denounce J.K. Rowling and her harmful views on trans rights, fatphobia, racism, and antisemitism. We make no defense of the Harry Potter franchise in light of the author’s position on these and other things and therefore we do not use any official Harry Potter characters, themes, merchandise, or stories in our programming. UUWA is what the Wizarding World could have been if it had been radically inclusive and accepting.
